Please feel free to join the lovely ladies who will all be reading together and commenting on the book as we go!! What fun!! Since life gets in the way of meeting together physically, now we can meet ANYTIME. Thank you technology! At least my lovey sister in Hawaii can be with us....reading together, yet oceans apart.
First, a couple of questions.
Have you all read any of the 'No1 Ladies Detective Agency' series? Did you see the T.V version last night on HBO? It was so well done that even Peter loved it!! All this is ti say that it would match our plan to choose fast read books for all those lovely ladies whose jobs and families and life gets in the way of heavy reading......and it is a series of titles, all st in South Africa, which also makes for such interesting views. Let me know if you have already read any or all of these.

I am ready and waiting with anticipation the book we are going to begin reading. I have not read any of the "No1 Ladies Detective Agency" series so that would work for me.

ReplyDeleteAnother book worth reading may be 'The Jane Austen Book Club' by Karen Joy Fowler.
Also, Amy, would your sis Becky and your Mom be interested? I thought the first meeting to get us going in grand style would be April 25th...either noonish (lunch ) or evening (just appetizers/deserts? Always with wine!! What are your thoughts....BLOG AWAY BOOK BELLES!

I am almost done with the book only reading it before I go to sleep. It is as much fun to read the 2nd time. Last night and every night this week it is on HBO...and sooooo worth watching as all the stories in the book are brought alive!
Very cool to be reading book and seeing it all at the same time! We struck it 'reading rich'!
